About
Elizabeth Nicholls
Designer/Illustrator/Artist
Elizabeth Nicholls is a freelance designer, illustrator and artist with over 20 years’ experience supporting consultants, educators and small organisations through thoughtful, collaborative design.
Her work focuses on translating ideas often complex or still taking shape into clear, considered visuals. From websites and diagrams to training materials and digital communications, the aim is always to create work that feels aligned, engaging and true to the people behind it.
Alongside her design practice, Elizabeth maintains an active art practice, with recent exhibitions exploring themes of form, colour and human expression. This dual perspective brings a strong visual sensitivity to her design work balancing clarity with a refined aesthetic.
She is particularly known for her ability to quickly understand a client’s thinking and translate it into visual form whether that’s shaping a website, refining a framework, or developing diagrams that communicate ideas with clarity and impact.
Elizabeth often collaborates with photographers to capture authentic imagery for client websites. The image shown here was taken at her recent solo exhibition.
