What does a website actually do for your work?
An Interview with Cass Spong Founder of ENTHEOS Consulting
Thank you Cass for the conversation and ongoing collaboration.
A pleasure to help bring your ideas into visual form.
I recently asked a client this question while reflecting on a website we’ve worked on together over several years. Their answers were thoughtful and a reminder that not every website is about traffic or leads. For many consultants and coaches, a website plays a different role one that’s harder to measure, but just as important.
Here’s a snapshot from our Q&A conversation:
Liz:Before the recent website redesign, what role did you feel your online presence needed to play for your work?
Cass: Before the redesign, my website was the anchor of my professional presence. It needed to showcase not only my expertise but also how my work and services evolved over time.
Liz: How important is it for your website to feel like a genuine reflection of who you are and the work you do?
Cass: It’s absolutely essential. I want the website to feel authentically me, professional, calm, and creative while reflecting my unique systems-based approach to problem-solving.
Liz: How useful have those diagrams been when explaining your frameworks to others?
Cass: The diagrams have been invaluable. I use them not only on the website but also in proposals and sessions, they simplify complex ideas, align teams, and make concepts more memorable.
Liz: Have there been moments where the visuals or website helped clarify your thinking or explain a concept more effectively?
Cass: Definitely. The iterative process didn’t just help my audience, it helped me sharpen and articulate my own approach more clearly, making my methods easier to communicate.
Liz:What kind of feedback have you received about the website or visuals?
Cass: Clients frequently tell me the website is visually striking yet clear in how it breaks down complex work. It resonates with them and helps them feel confident in what I offer.
Liz: How helpful is it to have someone occasionally review the site and suggest updates?
Cass: It’s been incredibly helpful. Liz notices things I might overlook, and having that collaborative check-in ensures the site keeps pace with my evolving work.
